PIECES MEUBLES 1995-2016

‘‘Pièces-Meublés: 1995-2016’’ book published by Galerie Patrick Seguin. The title of a two-part exhibition by New York art critic Bob Nickas, one in 1995 centered around furniture and the other in 2016, which was focused on Jean Prouvé. This intriguing and artistic publication compares contemporary art with the leading creations of 20th century design. 20 artists were invited to select a piece of furniture either to interact with their work or to integrate it with a new work. The exhibitions highlighted the connections between creations and creators though several time periods and generations. Features a preface by Bob Nickas, along with archival images of furniture and architectural elements.
