1930'S ST. CHRISTOPHER PENDANT WITH CHAIN

The 1930s St. Christopher Pendant with Chain from Cartier is an Art Deco gold St. Christopher medallion charm pendant by Cartier, Paris, circa 1930. The round panel features raised figures, depicting the Saint wading through the river and bearing the baby Jesus aloft, with 'ST CHRISTOPHE' inscribed below. The reverse shows a countryside scene with a car nosing onto a road. Signed 'CARTIER MADE IN FRANCE' and bearing traces of the French gold assay mark on the circular suspension ring, this pendant hangs on an 18ct yellow gold 1.5mm tracelink chain necklace, 18 inches long.
